Triinuleht on surnud, elagu triinuleht!
See oli eelmise sajandi viimatise aasta sügisel, umbes neli pikka aastat tagasi, kui triinuleht oma tegevust alustas...
Noored vihased trinoloogid rahuldamas oma uurimiskirge kõigel mis ette juhtus ning vahendeid valimata. Üheks vahendiks, mis tookord haaratud sai, oli veeb. Palju triine on jäänud märkamata sellest ajast, palju vigu tehtud määramisel, palju eksitud, ent palju-palju eksimisi on veel tegelikult ees. Kuid see, mille osas tookord siiski ei eksitud, oli triinuleht, mis kõigi raskuste kiuste on jäänud Eesti trinoloogide kõige kõnekamaks häälekandjaks.
Nagu ma olen juba oma paljudes eelmistes kirjutistes juba korduvalt rõhutanud: „Mina arvuteid ei karda ainult, aga kui need hiired ükspäev hulluks kätte lähevad...” Nojah, tegelikult ma pole seda kunagi varem öelnud, aga no mis sellest, vaevalt et sina lugeja seda fakti kontrollima oleks hakanud. Tegelikult on üldse üsna ebatõenäoline, et peale eelmise lõigu lugemist (mis on täielik tühi mull), üleüldse keegi, seda mis ma praegu siia kirjutan, lugema vaevub. Kui ma nüüd õieti mäletan, siis kõigepealt asus triinuleht aadressil www.hot.ee/nene. Aga õige kohe hõivas ta endale märksa loogilisema aadressi: www.hot.ee/trinoloogia. Seal püsis too üksjagu aega ning elas üle nii mõnegi põhjalikuma muutuse. Ent aeg möödus ja see koht jäi ambitsioonika triinulehe jaoks lootusetult kitsaks.
Triinulehe välimus zone.ee serveris.
Alustuseks paigutati mõningad abistavad Perli-skriptid Tartu Ülikooli kuulsasse serverisse madli ning õige pea otsustati kogu leht viia PHP-platvormile ja üle kolida aadressile www.ut.ee/~nene. Kahjuks jäi õnn üürikeseks, sest just selsamal aastal otsustas armastatud madli totaalselt pangestuda ning ka triinulehe endaga kaasa offline'i tõmmata. Õnneks oli meie töökal kollektiivil juba enne pilk pidama jäänud Zone Media OÜ poolt pakutaval tasuta veebiruumil. Triinulehe aadressiks sai www.zone.ee/trinoloogia.
Sinna jäi triinuleht päris pikaks ajaks pidama, õigupoolest kauemaks kui plaanitud, sest otsustatud sai järjekordse kolimise vajaduses juba oma aasta aega tagasi, ent teoks on see saanud alles nüüd.
Loodetavasti on praegune aadress selline, mille peale võib ka aasta, viie, kahekümneviie pärast kindel olla. Igatahes on just selle eesmärgi nimel mitmeid pingutusi tehtud...

Kui ma ühel kenal päeval juhtusin lugema Tim Berners-Lee kirjutist Cool URIs don't change, siis olin ma koheselt kindel, et just seda teed pean ma nii triinulehe kui ka kõigi teiste võimalike lehekülgedega minema.
Lühidalt kokku võttes seletab Berners-Lee, et parim võimalik veebiaadress
esitub kujul http://www.minuleht.foo/YYYY/MM/DD/nimi, sest kuna
sellisel juhul on aadressiks vaid artikli kirjutamise kuupäev ning tema nimi
ja ei toimu mingit kategoriseerimist teemade kaupa, siis pole ka karta seda,
et aadressi ühel päeval lihtsalt muuta otsustatakse. Sellist URL-i kuju
kasutab nüüdsest ka Trinoloogialeht.
Kahjuks polnud paljude vanemate artiklite puhul sugugi selge millisel kuul nad on kirjutatud, rääkimata siis veel kuupäevast. Seepärast said need pandud paika üsna vägivaldselt. Ühesõnaga - kõiki kuupäevi, mis dateerivad enne aastat 2004 tuleks võtta kui ebatäpseid ja arvestada kusagil pool aastat sinna-tänna.
Standardid
Triinuleht toetab nüüdsest range täpsusega W3C poolt kehtestatud veebistandardeid. Täpsemalt on kasutusel XHTML 1.0 Strict ning stiilileht valideerub vastavalt CSS 2.1 spetsifikatsioonile.
Trinoloogialeht peaks vastama WAI ligipääsetavuse juhiste (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) tasemele AAA. Seal on ehk mõned pisikesed asjad mida tasub veel üle vaadata, ja üle vaadatud nad ka saavad, aga üldjoontes on ka selle koha pealt asi korras.
Lehekülje allservas on nüüd pidevalt kolm linki, läbi mille on võimalik iga lehekülje XHTML-i, CSS-i ja AAA-le vastavust kontrollida lasta. Kui validaator peaks mõne lehe puhul ütlema, et tegu pole korrektse XHTML-i või CSS-ga, siis on alati oodatud kõik teated selliste vigade kohta. Ka teated AAA-ga seonduvatest vajakajäämistest on alati oodatud.
Lihtsale inimesele öelduna tähendab see standardite järgimine seda, et triinuleht on nüüd kättesaadav palju suuremale hulgale rahvale kui ta seda kunagi varem on olnud. Näiteks tekstibrauserite ja pihuarvutite omanikud ning ka puhta pimedad kasutajad nagu näiteks onu Google.
Dünaamika
Nüüdsest töötab ka tubli kommenteerimise-süsteem, mis idee poolest pidi töötama ka eelmises triinulehe versioonis, aga ei teinud seda teps mitte. Seekord on võimalik kommentaare ka vajadusel (X)HTML-is vormindada. Peaks see süsteem liialt keerukas tunduma, siis teadmiseks, et kommentaaride lisamisel on primaarseks siiski kirjutamisoskus, ka HTML-i üldsegi tundmata peaks saama kõik mis tarvis öeldud.
Välimus
Ka lehe väljanägemine on muutunud, ent hetkel kasutatav kujundus on pigem eelmise remake, kui midagi päris uut. Õigupoolest on kõik rihitud selles suunas, et vajadusel saaks kogu välimust muuta vaid mõne näpuliigutusega.

Trinoloogialeht, sellisel kujul nagu ta varem eksisteeris on läinud nüüdseks kaduviku teed. Nüüdsest pole triinulehe näol tegemist enam üksnes triinusid ja trinoloogiat käsitleva leheküljega vaid rohkem minu enda isikliku leheküljega.
Kas see tähendab, et trinoloogidel ja triinulembelistel pole siia enam asja? Ei, sugugi mitte nii. Pigem on toimunud teemaderingi avardumine ning trinoloogial on nende seas säilinud üks ütlemata väärikas ja oluline positsioon. Need, keda huvitab vaid trinoloogia, saavad vastavaid materjale lugeda ilma, et muu temaatika neid häirida saaks.
Lisandunud on mitmed minu arvates üsnagi mõnsad ja triinulikud valdkonnad, eeskätt CSS-i ning muid veebistandardeid käsitlev aines, mille järgi ma olen vaat et sama haige kui triinude järele. Ühtlasi kasutan ma seda lehekülge ka mitmesuguste märksa igavamate materjalide ülespanekuks, mis koonduvad ühisnimetaja kool alla. Kooliga seotud materjalid võivad asjasse mittepühendatutele näida üsnagi veidrad, aga ärge siis pöörake nendele erilist tähelepanu, eksole...
Kunagi ammu ma lubasin, et ma ei tee kunagi endale oma kodulehte ja olen seni sellest ka kiivalt kinni pidanud. Kas nüüd on siis see juhtunud, et olen ikkagi oma tõotust rikkunud? Igatahes arutan ma siin juba mingeid üksnes minusse puutuvaid asju (vaata eelmist lauset). Ma ei tea. Jäägu see külastajate otsustada.
