Nüüd juba mõningat aega asub kirjeldatav blogimootor aadressil Blogger.ee.
Umbes-täpselt kuu aega tagasi andis Troskal planet-i foorumis teada, et on loonud uue eestimaise blogimootori Nuubia Blogger.
Võibolla, et see polekski niivõrd mu tähelepanu köitnud, kui just Troskal poleks otsustanud, et lubab kasutajatel oma blogi kujundust muuta läbi CSS-i. Otse loomulikult pälvis säärane suurejooneline CSS-i aktsioon mu tähelepanu ning ma sukeldusin Nuubia keerukasse maailma.
Eks iga algus ole raske ning ka Nuubia oli sel hetkel väga kaugel ilusast tabelivabast ja standarditega ühte jalga astuvast ideaalist.
Suuremad ja väiksemad tabelid ilmestasid Nuubia koodipoolt ning midagi oluliselt vaikimisi kasutusel olevast disainist erinevat oli vaid CSS-i kasutades praktiliselt võimatu saavutada. Kõige selle taustal hüplesid ringi vahvad JavaScripti aknakesed, mis nõudsid iga viimse kui pisitoimingu kinnitamist.
Peale üsnagi edutuid katseid luua blogile mõnda suhteliselt lihtsat, ent originaalist piisavalt erinevat kujundust, otsustasin, et tulgu mis tuleb, aga mina kutsun rahvast üles andma toetusallkirju Nuubia Bloggeri veebistandarditega vastavusse viimiseks.
Alguses ütles Troskal:
no kurat. see divide värk on kahtlane. kuid ok, uurin asja.
Ning seejärel (täpselt 23 tundi ja 5 minutit hiljem) teatas:
kurat suht vahva on ma vaatan. uurin lähemalt... :)
Veel poolteist tundi uurimist, ja Troskal deklameeris veendunult:
asi on päris vahva. ei peagi mingi templiidi süsteemiga nussima. võtan ühe õhtu ja teen asja endale selgeks. üritan vähemalt.
Sealtmaalt hakkasid asjad edenema ning Nuubia Blogger standardite suunas sammuma. Troskal pakkus välja oma esialgse variandi - mina pakkusin jällegi selle põhjal välja omapoolse nägemuse ning Troskal töötles seda ja mina juhtisin tähelepanu mitmesugustele vigadele ja Troskal parandas ja mina virisesin ja Troskal parandas ja mina virisesin jne jne jne... Kuni lõpuks ma ühtäkki leidsin, et mul polegi enam suurt millegi kallal oma hambaid teritada.
Nuubia doctype-iks sai küll XHTML 1.0 Transitional, aga seda vaid tillukesel põhjusel, et oleks võimalik kasutada linkidel `target´ atribuuti ning seeläbi linke uues brauseriaknas avanema sundida.
Ehkki koodi poole pealt pole nüüd enam muudatusi oodata, seisavad Nuubial ees veel mitmed-mitmed muutused ja täiustused. Aga Troskal ei näikse alla andvat ning küllap leiavad lahenduse ka kõige kummalisemad probleemid.
Igatahes on hetkel tegu Eesti ainsa blogimissüsteemiga, mis on tasuta ja mida kasutajad saavad soovi korral täpselt oma äranägemise järgi kujundada. Lisaks muule saab igaüks panna oma blogi ka korralikult valideeruma, ehkki hetkel peab selle saavutamiseks omajagu eelteadmisi omama, kuid loodetavasti see muutub peagi.
Ka minu pisikene blog asub Nuubias ning on kitsalt-kitsalt spetsialiseerunud Nuubia arendamisele ja süvitsi uurimisele-puurimisele. Mul nimelt pole vähimatki kavatsust Nuubias mingisugusel muul teemal arutlema hakata, sest minu süda kuulub igevesti triinudele ja seda lehte ei saa ma jätta.
